HOW IT STARTED
Funny to say, but this all started with a birthday gift. Early in our relationship, I knew Serwaa had a love for tea kettles, so it was only right to surprise her with a unique cast iron tea pot. With a goal of only spending $100, I walked out of the store spending over $500. Serwaa’s reaction to her gift and assortment of teas & sweeteners was priceless. She then told me it was too beautiful to even use, which in return made me think “I know I didn’t spend $500 on tea we’re not going to drink”. At that point I turned into the household barista and we explored the world of tea.

A NEW LEAF
Our life and careers have been fulfilling and exciting on so many levels. From Serwaa a true D.C. Native with southern roots managing class A buildings in NYC. To my Liberian/Afro-German background, carving out a career in the entertainment industry from music to television. With all of our success we believe it's time for a new chapter. Time to give back by providing a healthy beverage alternative, that not only tastes good, but it feels good as well.

WHY SOCIETEA 7?
Through our journey called life we’ve come to understand it's about the people we meet and moments we share. Our goal in building SoceiTea 7 is to create the perfect society of tea drinkers, while providing access to healthy beverage alternatives. We’ll indulge in unique tea experiences and create moments that will last a lifetime as we sip on the perfect cup of tea together.
